What to expect

This full day combines a morning boat snorkeling trip with an afternoon west-coast sightseeing drive on Nusa Penida. After the fast boat from Sanur Harbor (±45 minutes), you board a snorkel boat for about 2.5 hours at three sites: Manta Bay (reef mantas may pass — sightings are not guaranteed), Gamat Bay or Crystal Bay for coral gardens and clear water, and Wall Bay for a reef drop-off. Full mask, snorkel, fins and a life jacket are provided; confident swimming is not required, but you should be comfortable in open water with a vest. Sea conditions can change the order of stops or replace a site for safety. After lunch at a local restaurant, a private car takes you to three cliff viewpoints: Kelingking Beach (T-Rex cliff), Broken Beach (natural rock arch) and Angel's Billabong (tidal rock pool). Return fast boat to Sanur is typically around 16:30–17:00. Total day length is about 10–12 hours. Will I definitely see manta rays?

No. Manta rays are wild animals. We visit Manta Bay, where mantas are often seen, but sightings depend on sea conditions, weather and whether mantas are present that day. We never guarantee a sighting.

Is this Manta Bay or Manta Point?

This tour is planned for Manta Bay, which is more sheltered than Manta Point, plus Gamat Bay or Crystal Bay and Wall Bay. The crew may change the order or substitute a site if the sea is rough.

Do I need to know how to swim?

Confident swimming is not required because full snorkeling gear and a life jacket are provided. You should still be comfortable floating in open water with a vest. Tell us in advance if you are a weak swimmer or concerned about swell.

Is this tour suitable for children?

The minimum age is 8 years. Children must be accompanied by an adult. The tour is not suitable for pregnant guests or anyone with serious medical conditions.

What should I bring?
